Sarah Abernethy
Powertrain Marketing Manager
Sarah Abernethy is Kenworth’s Powertrain Marketing Manager, based in Kirkland, Washington. Sarah has been with Kenworth for three years and began her career with Kenworth as a Senior Analyst in the Greenhouse Gas team prior to moving into the role of Vocational Marketing Manager. Sarah recently assumed the role of Powertrain and Alternative Fuels Marketing Manager and leads the marketing and product management of Kenworth’s comprehensive lineup of battery electric and alternative fuel heavy- and medium-duty trucks, including the implementation of Natural Gas Engine product offerings into Kenworth’s product lineup. Kenworth’s battery electric and fuel cell electric models include the T680 Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle, the T680E Battery Electric Vehicle, and the K270e and K370e Battery Electric Medium Duty trucks.
Sarah is focused on working with engineering and regulatory teams to develop resources and materials aimed at educating Kenworth’s sales team and customer base to ensure preparedness in navigating a changing regulatory landscape.
Sarah graduated with her undergraduate degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Maryland, and with her MBA from Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to joining Kenworth, Sarah worked in International Tax Consulting with PwC out of McLean, Virginia.
Ryan L. Bankerd
Director of Automotive Environmental, Regulatory Compliance & Special Projects
Ryan Bankerd, The Director of Automotive Sustainability for UPS, an Atlanta based Fortune 500 company most known for their package delivery and logistic services. Through his 20+ years’ experience, Ryan has implemented sustainable automotive solutions while balancing the challenges fleet operators face with regulation across the United States. Ryan currently sits on the board of Georgia Clean Cities and is a member of the American Trucking Association Environmental & Energy Policy committee.
With experience in all forms of energy used in transportation including biofuels and battery electric, Ryan and his team understand the complexity facing the industry today. Finally, Ryan is pursuing a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from the University of Wisconsin.
Eric Bevevino
Senior Director, US Channel Partner & Heavy Duty Sales
US Navy veteran and advocate for service men & women, past & present. 30 years of experience in the areas of mission accomplishment, fleet maintenance, industrial manufacturing, shipboard operations, sales & marketing, and system reliability. Primary roles have been in leadership, strategy creation, people development, business development, complex sales, marketing, and technical support. Enjoys giving back by mentoring and coaching those interested in being successful in the realm of strategic thought, networking, relationship nurturing, technical sales & marketing. Passionate about veteran causes. Volunteer peer coach in Kentucky for 22zero, helping this outstanding organization end veteran suicide www.22zero.org. Current role involves managing the distributor and heavy-duty national account teams for the North American region of Valvoline Global Operations.
Eric Bippus
Executive Vice President of Sales and Systems Development
Eric has been with Hexagon Agility since 2016 as Senior Vice President Global Sales and Marketing. Most recently, Eric was promoted to Executive Vice President of Sales and Systems Development, expanding Eric’s area of responsibility to encompass Mobile Pipeline® Sales, Systems Engineering and Customer Care & Technical Service in addition to the existing Global Sales. He has over 16 years of global sales and marketing experience in the automotive and heavy-duty commercial vehicle markets. Prior to joining Agility, he served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Clean Diesel Technologies Inc., which manufactures and distributes vehicle emissions control products. Eric earned a BA degree in Management from the Walsh College of Accountancy and Business, Troy, Michigan.

Jeffrey L. Clark
Vice President, Regulatory & Government Affairs, and General Counsel for NGVAmerica
Mr. Clarke serves as Vice President, Regulatory & Government Affairs, and General Counsel for NGVAmerica. NGVAmerica is the national trade association dedicated to promoting natural gas as a transportation motor fuel. Mr. Clarke has extensive experience in energy policy and regulatory affairs, having previously worked in government relations for the American Gas Association and in a previous role for NGVAmerica. Prior to rejoining NGVAmerica in August of 2006, he worked for New West Technologies, serving as a Senior Project Manager, providing regulatory and legislative support for government agencies. He also previously worked in the Washington Office of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), serving as a policy analyst, supporting transportation programs for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy. Mr. Clarke has a J.D. in law from the University of Baltimore and an undergraduate degree from James Madison University.
David Clevenger
SVP of Operations Fleet /DC Maintenance
David Clevenger is the SVP of Operations Fleet /DC Maintenance for City Furniture based out of Tamarac Florida.
David joined City Furniture in 1997, after a career in the United States Army, and created City Furniture’s Fleet/DC Maintenance Department.
David brings 40 plus years of experience with 15 in alternative fuels and now oversee’ s 4 locations in Florida. David has developed City Furniture’s Fleet/DC Maintenance Department into one of the best in the nation, through the implementation of alternative fuel vehicles with a fleet maintenance uptime of over 96%.
David is a board member of Clean City Coalition Southeast Florida and City furniture has placed in the Top 50 Green Fleets in America 9 years straight, placing 1st in 2021.
Adam Comora
Co-CEO
Adam Comora is the Co-Chief Executive Officer of OPAL Fuels (Nasdaq: OPAL), a leading vertically integrated renewable fuels platform involved in the production and distribution of renewable natural gas (RNG) for the heavy-duty truck market. Mr. Comora has co-led the company since it was formed in December 2020.
OPAL Fuels was created through the combination of multiple best-in-class businesses with more than 20+ years of operating experience culminating in the first truly vertically integrated company in the RNG market. Through the production and delivery of cost-effective renewable fuels, OPAL Fuels seeks to combat climate change and deliver value to all its stakeholders as the company strives to help its customers achieve net-zero now.
From February 2011 until January 1, 2022, Mr. Comora was with Fortistar, a privately-owned investment firm that provides capital to build, grow and manage companies that address complex sustainability challenges, where among other positions he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of TruStar Energy (now the Fuel Stations Services and RNG marketing segment of OPAL Fuels).
Prior to joining Fortistar, Mr. Comora at EnTrust Capital, an asset management firm based in New York City, from 1998 through 2011 where he was a partner and an integral part of the investment team managing long only equities, a long/short strategy, and a fund of funds. While at EnTrust, assets under management grew from $1 billion to $7 billion.
Prior to EnTrust, Mr. Comora was an Analyst and Associate at JP Morgan Investment Bank from 1994 to 1998 began in the Global Natural Resources Group and then joined the Special Situations Fund investing Chase’s capital in distressed debt.
Mr. Comora received his Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Economics and Government from Cornell University in 1994.
Nuray Elci
General Manager, Renewables
Nuray Elci is the General Manager of Renewables in Chevron’s Americas Products business, a position she has held since September 2022.
Renewables is responsible for the commercialization of lower carbon products including Renewable/Compressed Natural Gas, Hydrogen and Sustainable Aviation Fuel for transportation, serving commercial and passenger customers. This includes $1BB in capital spend to build and expand infrastructure development of compressed natural gas and hydrogen stations and renewable natural gas projects. Renewables has all Joint Venture and partnership management in the lower carbon space including CalBio, Brightmark, Iwatani, and the now recently acquired Beyond6 JV.
During her career at Chevron, Nuray has served in several roles of increasing responsibility, including Regional Manager for Fuels; Advisor to the President of Lubricants; Operations and Services Leader in Louisville, Kentucky; Regional Manager in Canada; Base Oil Business Development; Business Architect, as well as a variety of project management, mergers and acquisitions roles.
Nuray first joined Chevron in 2004. Through the Graduate Development Program, she completed rotational assignments within our commercial organizations, mergers and acquisitions and restructuring projects.
Nuray graduated from the University of Maryland in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and earned a Master of Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento, in 2004. She completed her Doctor of Management program in 2009 at the University of Maryland. Nuray also teaches Strategy and Marketing courses for the Dual MBA program at the University of Maryland as adjunct faculty.
Daniel Gage
President, NGVAmerica
Dan Gage is President of NGVAmerica, a national organization of over 200 members dedicated to the development of a growing, profitable, and sustainable market for transport powered by natural gas and biomethane.
A proud Central New York native now based in Washington, DC, Dan holds almost thirty years of political, government, corporate, and trade association issue advocacy, communications and government relations experience.
Dan joined NGVAmerica in Fall 2017 after years in the Policy Communications and Public Affairs space, most recently with the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, a trade association representing 12 of the world’s leading car and light truck manufacturers.
Prior to his work with major automakers, Dan helped run the Washington office of the American Academy of Pediatrics and served close to a decade as Political and Communications Director and then Chief of Staff to a longtime House Appropriations Cardinal in the U.S. Congress.
Matt Gutschow
Director of Customer Service Programs
Matt Gutschow joined Hexagon Agility in 2017 and currently serves as Director, Customer Service Programs under Hexagon Agility’s FleetCare business unit. In his role, Matt leads the digital transformation of FleetCare at Hexagon Agility and manages technical documentation, technical training, and service parts sales. Previously, Matt held various positions at Hexagon Agility, supporting the development and sale of clean fuel engine systems including a propane application for Freightliner Custom Chassis and Thomas Built School Bus as well as the deployment of over 6,000 RNG/CNG powered medium-duty package delivery trucks for UPS. Prior to joining Hexagon Agility, Matt was a graduate of the Edison Engineering Development Program at GE Energy, where he held several engineering positions working on gas turbines, wind turbines, and advanced repair technologies. Matt holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
Tyler Henn
Vice President and General Manager, Renewables
Mr. Henn serves as Vice President and General Manager of Clean Energy’s subsidiary Clean Energy Renewables (“CER”). In this role Tyler oversees a variety of company disciplines, but his primary focus is securing RNG supply through project development and strategic offtake partnerships.
Tyler maintains close working relationships with both the U.S. EPA and CARB in addition to holding various leadership roles with the Renewable Natural Gas Coalition. Prior to this role Tyler served as the Vice President of Finance and Commodities for CER where he oversaw commercial transactions to support the growth of Redeem™, Clean Energy’s branded RNG.
Tyler began his career working for Deloitte and Touche, LLP. He received his B.A. in Accounting from the University of La Verne.
Puneet Singh Jhawar
General Manager – Global Spark Ignited Business
Puneet Singh Jhawar is the General Manager of the global Spark Ignited business for Cummins Inc. In this role, he is responsible for the global natural gas, Propane, Octane business; including product vision, competitive positioning, financial management and overall performance of the spark ignited business across global markets.
Over his 15-year career at Cummins, Jhawar has been focused on helping customers achieve their success and he has managed and cultivated successful relationships with several Cummins’ largest global customers. His leadership and expertise has fueled growth of Cummins’ natural gas business in several key markets. Jhawar has extensive global work experience, with roles based in the Middle East, India, Europe and the US. Jhawar has implemented important new programs for Cummins, including the introduction of the Cummins fuel system on the B-platform for the first time.
Prior to his current role, Jhawar was involved in regional sales Middle East. Before joining Cummins, Jhawar held roles with Ingersoll Rand, MAN Diesel & Turbo Ltd. in India and the UK.
Jhawar holds a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Technical University in India and an MBA from University of Leeds in the UK. He is also actively involved in guest lectures at universities and in the education sector.
Jhawar and his wife, Aarti, live in Columbus, Indiana with their two sons, Miraan and Angad.
Ryan Kocher
Director of Emerging Equipment Technology
Ryan is Director of Emerging Equipment Technology for Knight-Swift Transportation, which he joined in 2021. His current focus is optimizing today’s tractors and trailers as well as future fuel and powertrain technology research, assessment and deployment for all Knight-Swift fleet brands. Alternative fuels, electrification, aerodynamics, and regulation are his key responsibilities for forward-looking strategy.
Prior to Knight-Swift, Ryan had 15 years of experience in various roles with diesel engine development, turbocharger design, validation, application, and electrification, fuel cell air pump design, and engine emissions testing and certification. Ryan received a Bachelor of Science – Mechanical Engineering degree from Arizona State University.
Kevin Lambert
Motorized Equipment and Permit Manager
Kevin joined Groupe Robert as a trainer in the technical service team in august 2017. A bilingual goal-driven executive, Kevin has more than 15 years of experience as mechanical workshop manager, heavy equipment mechanic, as well as in teaching.
With his mechanical background, he has worked in enterprises such as Hewitt Equipment and Hino to then join Groupe Robert while, simultaneously, teaching at Institut Agroalimentaire de St-Hyacinthe. He accepted the position of Motorized
equipment and permit Manager in March 2021 and is fully dedicated ever since.
In his position, he elaborates strategic plans to renew the fleet with the most advanced technologies available on the market as well as evaluate these technologies on their return-on-investment level.
Renown as a dynamic and passionate person that can drive a project to its end efficiently, Kevin is responsible for the integration of new trucks within the fleet as well as the new technologies Groupe Robert
chooses to have their trucks equipped with. He is also responsible for old truck removal from the fleet, the warranty, and the vehicle registration departments.
Every day, he weighs in with his analysis skills and knowledge of the trucking field to push his team higher and further in a never-ending will to improve Groupe Robert’s capacity and efficiency.
Shaun Lagos
Vice President of Construction
Shaun Lagos serves as Vice President of Engineering and Construction for Clean Energy, the largest provider of renewable natural gas for the transportation industry in North America. Shaun has more than 15 years of design-build experience in Facilities Modifications, Renewable Natural Gas Fueling Stations, and Renewable Natural Gas Production Facilities. Shaun manages a department of 50+ employees and is responsible for a diverse portfolio of Engineering and Construction projects in 40+ states and Canada. Shaun is a proud graduate of Chapman University where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship.
Chad Lindholm
Senior Vice President
Chad serves as Clean Energy’s Senior Vice President. In this role he leads the sales initiatives while creating strategic growth opportunities including station development and fueling programs to support fleets transitioning to Renewable Natural Gas, CNG and LNG. He manages a department of 50 employees covering business development activities across 40+ states as well as Canada. Since joining Clean Energy in 2003, Chad has been actively involved in every market the company serves including the trucking, refuse, transit, airport, and bulk fueling sectors. He is a proud graduate of Loyola Marymount University where he was a scholar athlete and earned a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Marketing.
Brett Lindsay
Director of Sales & Marketing, N.A.
Brett has over 25 years of experience in the energy and transportation sectors covering a wide range of responsibilities. His primary responsibilities at Cummins Clean Fuel Technologies are leading the sales efforts as well as developing National Accounts with the New Cummins X15N and fuel system deployments. Prior to joining the Cummins Clean Fuel Technologies, Brett was Vice President of Sales for Clean Energy which designs, builds, owns, and operates renewable natural gas fueling stations across the US and Canada. During this period, Brett had responsibility for the companies trucking sector.
Steve Lode
President
Steve joined National Ready Mix in 2017, after nearly 30 years in the concrete industry. As President of National Ready Mix, he has responsibility over the 11 locations that operate regionally in Southern California. Steve’s current industry involvements include, Board Member of The California Construction and Industry Materials Association (CALCIMA), sits on the Senior Advisory Board for Con-Tech Manufacturing, serves as a member of the Vocational Customer Council for Peterbilt Motors Company and is a supporting member of the CNGVP.
Over the past three years, Steve has led the team at National to make significant improvements in the heavy-duty fleet, transitioning from Renewable Diesel to Renewable Natural Gas. Since 2020 National has replaced 130 units with RNG mixer trucks and two-axle tractors. Steve also led the team to install four private RNG Stations. These projects were completed through approved company capital investments and in conjunction with $15.7M in Grant Funding administered by SCAQMD.
Under Steve’s leadership National Ready Mixed Concrete continues to remain focused on the reduction of the company’s carbon footprint by increasing the utilization of RNG trucks in the fleet, developing concrete mixes with low-carbon Portland Limestone Cement and providing Environmental Product Declarations (EPD’s) on every mix design produced.
Brett Manahl
General Manager, Rush Truck Center – San Diego
Brett Manahl is the General Manager of Rush Truck Center San Diego. In his current role, he oversees daily operations while driving market share growth in the San Diego trucking industry. His primary focus in market share growth has been on collaboration with fleets in transitioning to CNG fuel systems. Manahl has been in his current role since 2019.
Brett previously served as General Manager of Valew Truck Bodies located in Adelanto, CA and Graham, TX , from 2013 to 2019, focusing on medium duty vehicle modifications and construction vehicle applications while opening a new manufacturing plant to offer comprehensive solutions for a nationwide customer base. From 2008 to 2013, Manahl worked in various roles at Valew Truck Bodies in Adelanto, CA, where he was instrumental in expanding Valew’s manufacturing capability as well as targeting new market segments of the construction equipment industry.
Mark Matheson
Chief Executive Officer and President
As President and Chief Executive Officer of the Matheson Companies, Mark’s vision and leadership has championed a reputation of delivering the best value and the best possible customer service in the transportation and logistics industry.
Mark has spearheaded continuous process improvements across all business units, delivering outstanding fiscal planning and control. He initiated a new business unit providing terminal underwing operations and ground handling services which is employed by parcel delivery clients such as FedEx, DHL and UPS.
As a leading early adopter of Natural Gas Vehicles (NGV), Mark’s vision is to expand the natural gas highway. In the long-term, he has developed strategies, partnerships and investments that support a sustainable industry and a cleaner environment. In the short term, Matheson has successfully began moving from a diesel to CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) fleet. Mark has an unrelenting focus on quality and efficiency, combined with a genuine concern and commitment for all who work for him. These attributes are the hallmark of Marks’ career.
Rich Mulder
Vice President
Rich Mulder, a Purdue University alum, began his career as a CDL Class A OTR Driver with a national carrier. Over the years, he diversified his experience with roles as a steel industry heavy equipment operator, a refuse driver in the metro-Chicagoland area, and a driver for a regional bulk carrier, rapidly transitioning into logistics management.
In 2012, Rich joined Ozinga as the sole dispatcher for the newly established Materials group. His leadership contributed to the team’s growth, transformed it into a successful trucking brokerage business and pioneered an innovative logistics service center. With daily oversight of 500+ trucks, Rich played a pivotal role in streamlining supply chain aggregate logistics for concrete production and construction deliveries across multiple states. He spearheaded the digital transformation of logistics operations by deploying a third-party logistics management software, significantly enhancing efficiency and precision.
Rich is driven by a genuine passion for learning and entrepreneurship. His enterprising spirit led to the establishment of Ozinga Renewable Energy Logistics in 2022. This venture focuses on sustainable transportation solutions in the waste-to-value sector, utilizing a CNG-powered transportation fleet for manure, bulk feedstock and virtual pipeline logistics services to the renewable energy industry.
Rich’s commitment to safety, sustainability, and innovation underscores his contributions to the transportation industry. He is married to Amy, his wife of eleven years, and devoted father to their four children. During his leisure time, Rich enjoys an array of interests, including hobby farming, smoking meat, camping, and fishing.
Shawn Murphy
Global Engineering Manager, Downstream LNG & Low Carbon Solutions
Shawn Murphy is the Global Engineering Manager within Shell’s Trading & Supply organization serving the LNG, RNG and other alternative fuels. His role supports the development of alternative fuel production, supply chain and direct-to-customer assets across the globe. He has spent 15 years with Shell and over 25 years in the oil and gas industry. Shawn resides in Houston with his wife Melissa and their five children.
William Ong
Technical Support Manager
Mechanical Engineer by training with a background in manufacturing and technical support. I spent the first 11 years of my career in R&D and high volume manufacturing before turning my attention to working with internal combustion engines. The experiences from that phase of my career instilled in me the value of quality control and the need for attention to detail. In 2012, I joined the Cummins team and have been involved with our alternative fuels division ever since. Working with natural gas engines for the past 11 years has served as a window into the future for our industry. I am happy to have been involved at such an early stage and continue to be amazed at the current adoption rate. In my tenure with the company, I have served many roles from Field Service Engineer, Technical Trainer, Technical Support Team Leader, and now a Technical Support Manager
Mitchell Pratt

Chief Technology Development Officer, Clean Energy
Chief Executive Officer, Rimere
Mr. Pratt has served on the executive team at Clean Energy for the past 22 years, currently as its Chief Technology Development Officer where he advances the corporation’s technical innovation and strategy. Prior to this, he led business initiatives and oversaw production across all divisions as Clean Energy’s Chief Operating Officer and Corporate Secretary. Mr. Pratt also serves as Chief Executive Officer of Rimere, a plasma technology company focused on decarbonizing the natural gas infrastructure and transforming it into a clean global energy solution. He has a degree in Engineering as well as an MBA.
Adam Richey
Senior Business Development Specialist, Renewables
Adam is Senior Business Development Specialist for Renewable Fuels in Chevron’s Americas Products business, a position he assumed in Nov 2020.
Since joining Chevron’s MBA Development Program in 2012, Adam’s experiences have included roles in lubricants pricing, retail fuel sales, carbon and biofuels strategy, Asia joint ventures and affiliates, commercial fuel sales, and value chain optimization in California and Singapore.
Prior to Chevron, he held several roles at Tetra Tech over 10 years, with experience in transportation infrastructure planning, engineering and construction primarily on the US West Coast.
Adam was born in California and holds a BS in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic University Pomona and an MBA from UC Berkeley. He is a registered Professional Engineer in California.
Jared Rifenbary
Business Development Manager
Jared, who joined Beyond6 in 2018, is focused on researching new market opportunities, overseeing growth projects, analyzing, projecting sales and forecasting. Simultaneously, he also offers hands on support to his customer base. Jared received his BS in Economics and Finance from Bentley University. Some of Jared’s hobbies include hiking, biking & reading.
Marc Rowe
General Manager – Fuel Sales
Marc Rowe has been with Trillium since 2014. In Marc’s role, he is responsible for developing and executing the overall market development strategy for Trillium’s business lines in the US. Responsibilities include fuel sales to Trillium’s national fuel network, as well as custom fueling solutions and complimentary products/services for Trillium’s clients across the alternative fuels and sustainability spectrum.
Prior to joining Trillium, Marc’s experience includes business development roles at a natural gas utility and national retail banking and consumer finance companies. Marc sits on the board of Natural Gas Vehicles for America (NGVA) as well as the steering committee of the Illinois Alliance for Clean Transportation. Marc earned his BA from Wabash College and holds a BEP certification from AEE and resides in Downers Grove, Illinois.
Michael Salassa
Business Development Manager – CNG & LNG
Michael Salassa graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and received his Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. He spent 10 years at J.P. Morgan Chase working in default operations, operational loss, and bankruptcy oversight.
Salassa joined Chesapeake Utilities Corporation in financial planning and analysis in 2019, he joined the business development team in 2020, and became a business development manager in 2022. He has focused on compressed natural gas (CNG), liquid natural gas (LNG), and alternative fuels development projects, and managed CNG and LNG merger and acquisition endeavors. He joined the Natural Gas Vehicles for America (NGVA) board in 2023.
Danny Susdorf, P.E.
Operations and Project Manager
Danny Susdorf, P.E., Operations and Project Manager at National Ready Mixed Concrete Company (NRMCC). Danny was responsible for NRMCC’s transition from renewable diesel fueling to renewable natural gas, a huge capital investment that has provided exceptional reductions in carbon emissions. Danny oversaw engineering & project management of NRMCC’s 4 CNG stations that are currently in operation. The Cummins “Near-zero” CNG engine technology combined with the carbon negative dairy farm-derived RNG produces unparalleled carbon reductions that are simply unachievable by other technology in today’s market. Danny earned a bachelor’s degree in structural engineering from the University of California, San Diego and went on to earn his Professional Engineer License in California, Nevada and Indiana. He began his professional career working for a local concrete company with cement, aggregate and ready mix operations for 6 years. Next, he joined a major general contractor on a seven story hospital build overseeing the construction of site work. He has since returned to his ultimate passion of CNG and working in the industry of construction materials at NRMCC. Danny married his college sweetheart, currently they reside in Murrieta, CA with their two girls.
Tom Swenson

Tom began his career in 1988 with the California Energy Commission working with alternative fuels. In 1993, he joined the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management working to reduce emissions from mobile sources, including the development of heavy-duty incentive programs.
Tom joined Cummins in 2003. In his current role as Director, Global Regulatory Affairs, Tom is works with regulatory agencies, business partners and industry partners to implement Cummins’ Destination Zero effort.
Tom is based in Sacramento, California, holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Sacramento State and a California Professional Engineering license.
Annalloyd Thomason
Chief Executive Officer/Co-Founder
With 35 years of management experience in the alternative fuels industry, Annalloyd Thomason currently spearheads strategic planning and policy development for AFVi’s training, consulting, and customer service teams. She’s a subject matter expert, sought-after speaker, and certified learning designer. Under her leadership, AFVi (formerly known as NGVi) has trained more than 25,000 technical professionals in the U.S. and worldwide.
Annalloyd began her career in the natural gas industry as the Director of Marketing for Lone Star Gas Company in Dallas, Texas. She holds an MBA in Management from Amberton University in Dallas, and a BBA in Management from Abilene Christian University.
Leo Thomason
Executive Director/Co-Founder
Leo Thomason has 40 years’ experience as a technical trainer and consultant in the natural gas vehicle industry. He is an expert in vehicular CNG fuel system installation code, design and installation requirements, developing NGVi’s first CNG Fuel System Inspector training course in 2005.
In his role as consultant, Leo has evaluated more than 30 existing and planned vehicle maintenance facilities for CNG and LNG code compliance, ranging from smaller, three-bay maintenance garages for Penske to vehicle manufacturing facilities for Volvo, assisting customers to determine the most cost-effective and code-compliant ways to modify or construct facilities where natural gas vehicles can be safely maintained.
Leo is also an expert in CNG fueling station design and has assisted in the design and development of more than 40 stations across the U.S., including the 10,000 scfm station serving Nassau Inter-County Express Bus in New York.
Leo Thomason began his career in the natural gas utility industry at Pacific Gas & Electric Company in California. He holds an MBA in Management Science from California State University, Hayward, California and a BS in Industrial Technology from California State University, Fresno, California.
Marty Tufte
Corporate Fleet Director
Marty Tufte is a Corporate Fleet Director for Waste Management, located in Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Tufte has served for over 38 years in progressively responsible positions within the company and presently oversees the Equipment Performance programs at the enterprise level. Waste Management, Inc. is the leading provider of comprehensive waste management and environmental services in North America.
Mr. Tufte and his team have pioneered Waste Management’s use of alternative fuel vehicles and oversees all new technology programs. These include Natural gas, RNG, Battery Electric, Hydrogen, Hybrids and telematics programs to name a few.
Mr. Tufte has a technical degree from Austin Technical College and has a strong technical and fabrication background.
Chip Wertz
Director, Fleet Services Infrastructure Team
Chip Wertz leads WM’s program for developing on-site natural gas fueling infrastructure to support the company’s transition from diesel to clean burning renewable natural gas in their fleet of 19,000 HD collection vehicles. WM operates over 12,000 HD NG collection vehicles, has completed on-site NG fueling infrastructure at 193 operating locations in 39 states and 4 Canadian Providences. Twenty-Eight of these locations include public access CNG retail stations. A critical component of WM’s infrastructure program includes Vehicle Maintenance Facility upgrades for Major Repair Facilities, of which over 200 operating locations have been completed.
Mike Zimmerman
General Manager
Mike Zimmerman is the General Manager of Cummins Clean Fuel Technologies. In this role, he oversees business operations and provides strategic insight to drive growth of a new line of compressed natural gas fuel systems. He has served in this role since the company was founded in 2015.
Zimmerman previously served as General Manager of Custom Vehicle Solutions (CVS) in Denton, Texas, from 2012 to 2015, focusing on major fleet vehicle modification and fuel system installations. From 2005 to 2012, Zimmerman worked in various roles at Rush Truck Centers – Houston, including Service Manager for four years, where he was instrumental in expanding the company’s Houston operations to offer specialized services to major oilfield customers and was involved in truck modifications for key refuse fleets. Zimmerman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology from Texas State University.
